New Library
From the button , go to 'New...' to create a new color library.
When you start with 'New...' a new dialog appears to to chose the color space, color profile, color or gradient method or choosing from template.
If you use 'Template...', it will guide you to the color libraries default folders to pick a color library which will use the library settings in color space and profile for the new one.

Select any of your color libraries in format .vdb that will serve as layout for the new library, and click Open from the buttons down the window.
A small window will pop-up, using the same name. Change the name and save the new library. If the color library is already open, you need to close it to be able to replace it.
Afterwards the color library is opened and empty. Start to add or import colors.
Duplicate Library
From the button , go to 'Duplicate...' or Duplicate without data…' to create a new color library. Duplicating will basically copy the whole library with colors, and duplicating without data will copy the color library informations without colors.
A small window will pop-up, using (copy) in the name. Change the name and save the new library.
Add Colors to Color Library
You can include as many colors from other libraries as you like, selecting and dragging them to the new space. When the color is in the new space, this will become highlighted, and then you must click the key ⌘(mac) or ctrl(pc) so that it stays.
Colors from opened designs can also become part of the new library. Just select them with the color picker, and they will show on the bottom right part of the window.Then drag it as explained before. One last option to include colors in a library is selecting them from the colorations color patches on the left, or from the channels separations, and proceed with the dragging.
Create Colors in Color Library
Pressing the button under a library, a dialog opens with options to create new colors for the library such as new, copy and duplicate. The new colors can be duplicated and renamed, copied and pasted in other color libraries.
Import Colors to Color Library
You can import colors through .csv files into color libraries. This is useful when you have done a rematch in the color library and you want to use it to create your colorations.

CSV specification for gradient color values
Using the 100% color value of a color name. Gradient color will be used in the data base only.

Pressing the button under a library, a dialog opens with the option to Import… colors from another library. Simultaneously, the exportation of the color library can be done from here with Export…
The options Add, Create and Import are given only for new or duplicated color libraries. Default color libraries are locked and cannot be modified.
Measure Colors to Color Library
Another way to add new colors into a library is by reading them from a spectrophotometer device. Before you start reading the colors, you will have to calibrate the white reference of the spectrophotometer. Place the calibrated spectrophotometer on the colors that you wish to measure and press the button under a library, a dialog opens with the options to start or stop reading colors one by one or stripes of colors.
