Create new colorway
If you wish to make one new colorway, go to buttonat the menu bar and select option 'New Colorway from'. The program creates a duplicate of the selected colorway as temporary colorway with name 'T01' and opens the color library to color new colorway. Make color changes using color library or color picker.
Select the color library you want to use to color the new colorway. You can customize the view with the adjustment button next the library name. Choose the size of the patches and to view the color name or not. This adjustments are based on the logged in user and will remain for the user only in coloring colorway and simulations page.
When the color library is selected you can search for a color by two options. Searching by Name you can enter the name or part of it and it will give you the possible results.
Searching by Color, the square black button below the library's name allows to pick the color you are searching for. Once you have selected a color from color picker, click on the color space sphere, and the closest reference in your library will be shown.
When the color is selected you can drag and drop it into the color channels or use the Paint Can to color the selected channel with the color you have chosen in your library. The list which unfolds next to the number 100 when to click in on shows color Superposition methods for coloring. You can anytime 'Undo' your modification on this page using the corresponding button.
When you changes are completed, you can click on button 'Save' or 'Publish' to finish the coloring.
- 'Save' will create the new colorway as Temporary colorway with 'T' colorway name that is visible only to the creator and allows further color modifications.
- 'Publish' will create the final colorway and the result would be the following generated using the next colorway code in neoCatalog. No further color modifications are possible.
You can duplicate any selected colorway with the option Duplicate Current Colorway from button . It will generate new colorway using the next colorway code and the information that the colorway isa duplicated.
Colorway from XCM
From Inèdit's programs neoColorations and neoColorBox, you can export colorations from text files containing color information, which are saved with the extension .XCM. Such files can be imported to neoCatalog from button with Import Colorway from XCM File option and use their information to create colorations.Follow the simple steps that are shown on the screen to upload the file. The colors will be applied automatically on the selected design.
New digital colorway
This option supports to use image files to import it as digital colorways (not separated).
Use of name separator pipe '|' in the file name for colorway indication, or else the file is imported as digital design. For example, if the digital design should have the name "D1234" and the colorway "variant1", create the file name as "D1234|variant1". The separator pipe '|' is used by default. If you wish to change the separator, it can be done in the advanced preferences by administrator of the app.
Select the option Import Digital Colorway from button It opens the drag&drop dialog to choose and upload new file, as seen in the design importation. Drag&drop a file here or click. Continue with 'Import'. .
Once uploaded, it opens the Colorway Info window automatically to enter or modify colorway informations. Continue with 'Save'.
- File name: Using file name or counter for next design number. Can be modified.
- Design name: Showing the name of design where the colorway will be added.
- Customer: Type to search for customer.
- Comments: Optional
The result would be new generated colorways using the next colorway code in neoCatalog.
