Read this topic to learn more about neoMatch user interface, its tabs and buttons, and basic navigation. 


Header Menu

In the header of the window, we find several tabs, which allows you to import values, export and measure prints. However, all mentioned actions can be executed from file menu.

Import

Imports Lab values from text file. This can also be done from File | Import…

References Lab

Exports the reference Lab values as .CSV text file from imported or measured ones with an spectrophotometer.

References TIFF

Exports the reference Lab values as TIFF image file, from imported or measured ones with an spectrophotometer, to print as first printout to measure and match the lab values.

Improved Lab

Exports the improved Lab values as .CSV text file from new measured colors with the spectrophotometer.

Improved TIFF

Exports the improved Lab values as a TIFF image file from new measured colors with spectrophotometer to print as next printout to measure and match the lab values.

Best Lab

Exports the best Lab values as .CSV text file from matched colors with an spectrophotometer.

Best TIFF

Exports the best Lab values as TIFF image file from matched colors with an spectrophotometer, to print as the final result.

Report

Exports the Report as TIFF image file from matched colors with colors which don't match to the maximum DeltaE.

The contents and icon sizes in header menu can be customized with right-click mouse and selecting 'Customize toolbar...'.

Colors and References


  1. Colors list - The list of imported and read from device colors with its references. Colors are displayed with orders, names, color references and dE comparisons between the first and last Lab values. The colored dots before reference name in green, orange and red, are indicating gamut warning calculation in the selected profile.

  2. Edition and Search of rows - More colors can me add or removed from the list with ' + ' and ' - ' from the bottom of the window. Color values can be overwritten with 'Insert'. Colors can be searched by name and bigger or smaller dE.

  3. References - Displays the LAB values of reference, measured, the dE comparison between reference and measured colors, and as final the printed colors. The fields below for enter name and comment for each color.

  4. Profile - Selection of the ICC profile that you want to match colors with.

  5. Measurements - List of the measurements with Lab values, the new matched color and the new dE, where each measurement can be added, removed or set as default manually. 

  6. Three modes to view colors input and characteristics:

Statistic

Statistics shows the match between your measured colors and the profile, indicating, from Bad to Perfect, color qualities. With each new measurement the statistics can be recalculated with Recalculate.



Spectral Data

Measured colors can be viewed in spectral data in different range.


3D View

The 3D view allows you to view your colors in the selected ICC profile and view visually. For the most visual comparison with colors and selected ICC you can have preview the 3D view. Click on 'Zoom View' for 3D window and tools. The tools on left side helps you to make visual settings to view the ICC structure.


The 'Preview' button switches the view with and without using the ICC, and shows you the position of your colors in the profile.


'Dot Size' allows to increase the colors position dots.

The tool 'Transparency' reduces the opacity of the icc profile.

'Depth' tool increase the size of the icc profile.
